Blending classical textures with jazz improvisation, this work focuses on the timbres of woodwind and rhythm section with specific attention to dissonance and harmony.
Inspired by Mike Walker’s ropes, this composition tells the tale of Staithes, a small fishing town on the North Yorkshire coast made famous by Captain James Cook, the discoverer of Australia. This album delivers the tales of voyages and the highs and lows that travelling brings.
Persistence of Memory
The Last Dinner Party’s Emily Robert’s released this EP in 2021. It is a blend of rock and jazz fusion featuring Harry on saxophone.
To Some Place New
Milena Granci’s debut album features a blend of folk and jazz music. As a member of this sextet Harry has performed at the spice of life, crazy coqs, the vortex jazz club, pizza express soho and map studio cafe.
Ralph Porrett Quintet
BBC Young musician finalist Ralph Porrett has wrote a vast amount of diverse material for a unique lineup of vocals, flute, sax, guitar and bass. Harry has performed with this lineup at Pizza Express Soho, Chequers, and Milton Court Concert Hall.
This Quintet album will be released in the months ahead.
Shenandoah
Arranged in 2020 Harry recorded this big band project with the help of funding from UMAT.
Waypoint
Will Rees-Jones released this EP following the covid lockdown in 2021. The ensemble consists of jazz ensemble with string quartet.
